There are many students in Valparaiso who receive free or reduced breakfasts and lunches during the school week, but on the weekends, there’s no guarantee that these students are going to get the meals they need. Valparaiso Community Schools has an awesome program in place in which they provide bags of food to these students to help them through the weekend. With the strain on the economy and more families losing the income they depend on to survive, the school system is in need of more items to fill these bags.
Food items can be dropped off at Thomas Jefferson Middle School on Fridays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Your help is needed, but we also want you to be wise and stay safe while helping!
